Cueva de murciélagos.
Bat cave in the Binigaus ravine - none in residence as not the breeding season. The huge meandering cave is chock full of beautiful sculptures of nature created over thousands of years, and still under construction, as proved by the constant drips of water. It is also completely dark, and too big to even see around with a phone light. Fortunately we had the two studio light wands with us - see Tim (currently visiting the island) wielding one purposefully in the extras. Despite that, the pictures are really noisy despite my best post-processing efforts - next time we'll take a tripod and some stands for the wands, and do nice slow exposures at 100 iso, instead of the very high ones here with added camera shake. It's more amazing than I can adequately describe. The shapes in the walls resemble faces, monsters, giant squids and even a wedding cake.
In other news the tourists seem to have found a new lease of life with the improved weather today, and the beach of Binigaus was wall-to-wall fanny (in the words of Irvine Welsh) with a fair sprinkling of beer guts over minute genitals more suited to a newborn. Just saying.
