Chasing the Sun

A day of sunshine and heavy showers, with some dramatic skies thrown in.  We attempted to visit Dunvegan Castle (car park full), then Coral Beach (car park full), so we headed back to Portree and then followed the main road to view the Old Man of Storr.

This road was busy too but at least you get spectacular views without having to find a car park:-). We did manage to find the last space at Kilt Rock and joined the queue to photograph the famous falls.  My photos are okay, but we loved the one my daughter took quite by accident.  (See Extras)

Following the road we then visited the Skye Museum with its lovely old thatched black houses (main photo), before heading back via Uig to Dunvegan.  We managed to avoid the heaviest of the rain and the sunshine on occasions was a real bonus!
