In The Occupied Territory

I'm ok

We are ok. It's been a long and tiring spell. We were moved from our bungalow to the main block and we were allocated another room. Dinner was delivered to us as we were all confined to our rooms as the hurricane approached. We stacked our spare bed mattress up against one window that June noticed that the seals we're hanging out of. The bed base placed on the other window.
Some time after as some of us were in the hallway with a staff member teaching us salsa, somebody else came and told everyone to get into the hall where we remained for the rest of the long and hot night. We slept on the floor in a smelly carpet whilst others slept on stools, chairs etc. About 1 am a loud crash emanated from our room as the window was blown in. Access to it was impossible as the wind whipped round it. This is the room when, an hour or so later when staff came to rescue the tv.
A fine way to spend my 65th birthday.
