The Cow Byre, Kingsdown

This is a house in my neighbourhood.  The blue sign on the wall says: "The 1742 map of Bristol shows Kings Down as open pasture with paths leading to Bristol.  Restoration to this house in 2010 revealed a well under the floor, an arched opening at the rear and traces of bovine urate in the walls, confirming the building's former use as a cow byre."
