Eggs on Tour

That was the name of the pop-up restaurant serving exciting brunch at Connelly's of Leap, what a treat.  A magic little pup, eating brunch listening to live covers of Neil Young and John Prine.

All of that after a jaunt up the hill at Lough Hyne, and a swim.  My timing couldn't have been better for the swim, the Lough Hyne Lappers were getting out of the water as I got in, and by the time I got out of the water the sauna was well warm and nearly empty!  A sauna after a swim, I may bring this idea to Sandycove.

Off to Galley Head lighthouse then via a wild walk on Owenahincha Beach.  A very informative and detailed talk by a former 3rd generation Lightkeeper.  Outside on top of the lighthouse in force 7 winds I nearly lost my camera.

As if all of that was not enough I had an evening in Ballydehob eating Japanese food from Bia Rebel.  This guy spent 18 months researching and perfecting his ramen noodles and broth.  The research he did included a number of MRI scans of an egg to investigate how it was marinating!
We watched as he demonstrated how to make the noodles. It might be quicker for me to drive to Belfast for a bowl of noodles then to try make them myself.

What a day!
