Finished

Perfect conditions for the Great North Run today. I started at the back with the family and spent most of the run going through traffic - always a positive feeling even if a little crowded in places. Bang on 11 min mile pace - happy to get under 2 hours 30 mins. North East crowds and bands as good as ever.

P had a difficult race - he was well prepared before the Africa adventure but not much chance for running in Namibia. A also a little sore.

This was a promise that we made to my son when he was too young to enter. Took us a few years to get us all together in the same country but delighted that we have finally managed to do the event together.
