Dick at 89 years young

Today I visited with Dick, my loyal GMV team member from 2000 to 2011. He has been one of the most supportive and wonderful friends I have ever known.

Dick spent his life in malaria research and when he retired, his photography career blossomed. Each time I see him is a bonus. Today he retired his photographic equipment and passed it on to me.

I put up some more back blips today, bringing me up to date from 14th August. This means I still need to dig out some trip back blips from the mid-stage of my illness in Mongolia and Russia.
