Low Key

Blawin' a hoolie, with occasional rain showers, but still managed one last walk in (vain) search of Choughs. This after an interesting wander round the teeny St Mawes Castle (which was nice and quiet due to the rain); and a slightly disappointing trip to St Michael's Mount, the baby brother of France's Mont St Michel. The British version lacked the tourist tat shops from over the Channel (still find it odd that the French site has Beatles memorabilia shops in the tight and twisty cobbled streets), but also the size and open buildings (closed today due to the high winds).

It was clear fairly early on that Mel wasn't in the mood for Cornwall's crowds, so the Mullion walk, not far from Lizard, was nicely quiet (sadly, as I say, including no last day Choughs). There were, however, a couple of trips on the King Harry Ferry again (I do like a ferry); and a meal at the local pub that was so filling I couldn't physically manage any more beer.
