Flag Twirling

Yesterday's blip showed Hannah's long-term interest: piano (she started lessons at the start of 1st grade). Tonight's blip is of her newest activity: flag twirling. She chose to join color guard at the end of last school year & has been earnestly practicing the routine for the upcoming performances. Today they were given new flags (shiny gold & white ones without holes--a huge upgrade). Next Friday is a big day with their first performances at the pep rally & then the evening football game. Two Halloween parades follow. Didn't expect to be a marching band parent. Hannah did play violin in 3rd grade, but sadly gave it up despite the fact she was truly good at it. It was just too much to practice two instruments each evening on top of homework. So, color guard it is!
