Sweets on Street

Somebody put out leftover danishes downtown Reykjavík. I was too scared it had been coughed on, or something, to take a bite. I commented on that when a woman came by to grab a bite and she was very surprised and said, what do you mean, why would it not be safe? I guess I am a sissy.
