As photographs go, this is down there with the worst of them. I don't care; it is a record shot with a phone of a lifetime for me, a Purple Heron. It has taken up residence at Leighton Moss in Lancashire. I can't tell you how chuffed I am to have had good views of it. Well I can actually - massively!
