A Surpised Visitor

I was lubricating door locks and handles this morning and as I went to the touch the garage door handle this chap(ess) leapt out at me. I'm guessing I twanged the web and it thought I was food. A bit tough and gristly for a decent meal though!

I believe it is a common orbweaver - but I am open to suggestions!

We managed to dodge some humongous showers today and got out for a walk - the fields were very wet with water running across them.

A housework day - ahead of some visitors for a special event next weekend..need to make some beds available.
