Meet Fang

This is Fang, our pet giant house spider, known more formally as Eratigena atrica. Mrs T doesn't seem to be very keen on him; I can't think why.

We currently see quite a lot of fang as this is the time of year when he rampages around the house looking for a mate. How he manages not to get his spines entangled in the wool carpet is a bit of a mystery.
