Desolate

Marie and I went for a drive this afternoon over McKenzie Pass and into Haldon Arm of Lake Benmore. It was bitterly cold and we even got some snow flurries. The McKenzie Basin is a dry and drought ridden area reliant on irrigation, so cold in Winter at times the temperature can get as warm as -8c  and be that warm for days, in the Summer it goes to the other extreme with days in the mid to high 30's and no rain sometimes for  the whole summer.
