Oh Fiona
It’s friday —we pick up Fiona a tad later than last year, now from 2nd grade. Today we had to pick up some groceries (I’m still a bit dizzy - but better…. pushing a grocery cart is good!). On the way home we get a message of some credit card fraud on our card so that took much phoning and sleuthing to straighten out. The blue Apron box arrived 2 whole days late so another thing to deal with right then. (they refunded and told me to throw it all away! eek.. not all...) Fiona, on her own (I did manage t make the milkshake) starts making paper chains with a stapler, and just keeps going (“Once I get started on something fun, I can’t stop”) until it was 3 stories high (verified by hanging them off the actually 4th story roof deck (she wanted me to take this picture -hence the collage) What a pleasure she is —happily chatting for hours - and making her own fun! ( I did cut some strips on the paper cutter. ) Apparently they made chains at school today —imagine the math one can learn from being given just 2 sheets of paper and tape… H is taking her home to go with her family to her school ice cream social and we are going to collapse on the couch now.
I have to write down one more thing, Talking about her 13 year old sister shopping at "the mall," Fiona says she hates shopping and she "will NEVER go to the MALL!" I said I was going to remember what she says at 7, when she's 13. (so here it is duly recorded:-))
