Great Ball of Fire!
Our flight was at 1.50pm but we arrived at the airport at 10.45am, as Alan had booked us into the Clubroom lounge. It was really nice with waiter service, a choice of food and drinks including complimentary champagne.
So we passed a very pleasant couple of hours before going to the gate, but the plane was slightly late arriving, so when we finally boarded we had to sit on the runway for another 20 minutes as we'd missed our slot. Apart from that though, everything went smoothly, and the holiday rep was waiting for us at the other end, told us where our coach was waiting, and within about 10 minutes we were on our way.
We had a great welcome at our hotel and were offered a glass of cava before being shown to our room. Alan had requested a sea view and they've given us a lovely room on the upper floor looking straight out to sea. It's the perfect spot for sunsets too! I took a close up of the sun which I've added to my extras, and if you look closely at 4 o'clock you can see the sunspots!
We unpacked and then went down for dinner which is a self service buffet, but the quality and selection of food is excellent! The hotel is for adults only, and they have a dress code for dinner, with men having to wear full length trousers. There's also an al a carte restaurant where everyone is able to go for one meal during their stay.
Anyway, our first impressions are very good and we're looking forward to exploring the complex tomorrow.
