Early Bird
I went out just after sunrise this morning to a narrow neck of land with water on both sides that connects to Orient Point (see map). I was hoping to find some wading birds and wasn’t disappointed. There were about half a dozen Great White and Snowy Egrets quite close by and the light was really lovely. Once again, it is a bit soft here, but sharp in Large. Please have a look there.
I am very distracted right now by the threat of Hurricane Irma. We have children, grandchildren, cousins and many friends in Florida and it appears that there is no place in the state that will escape this fierce storm. They are all making the appropriate preparations, but we will worry until we are sure they have weathered it without harm. To all my blip friends in Florida, please prepare well and stay safe.
