Preparing for winter

I was busy on the PC all day, and by the time I thought of photography it was tea time, and then it was dark. In a month or two it will be dark before tea. So I thought it was a good time to practice for the shorter days.

Last winter I was impressed by the night-time pictures taken by Flashead and PaulFS. Now I have a tripod (thanks, Dad!) and a water resistant camera I can try some experiments of my own.

Of course, I hit the first problem immediately - wind. However apples don't blow about too much.
