Chiff Warbler

After a lean time for birds in the garden in the early part of the week, things are starting to liven up a bit. Overhead, our local House Martin colony appear to be feeding up and we are getting a few warblers though. I'm very grateful that they seem to come in and gorge on greenfly at this time of year. As always, I never feel confident about whether this one is a Chiffchaff or a Willow Warbler. Looking at the dark legs, I'm plumping for Chiffchaff. So much easier in the Spring when their songs are so different.
