St Mary of the Angels

The Boss went to a concert by the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra String Quartet at this wonderful church last night and returned this morning to get a Blip Shot and I got to see it.

In an earthquake mad country this building had been closed for some years but has, I guess, been  earthquake strengthened altho there is nothing visible but the acoustics were wonderfully suited to Violins and a Cello.

I am sorry I missed the Mendelssohn at the time which The Boss found on Apple Music today. It kinda suited as background music when later in the day the sky blackened and the wind strengthened but as yet it has not started raining. 
A loop to Mt Victoria burned up 13000 staggers and resulted in us meeting some really nice folk from Louisiana  who were just leaving the bush to go to the airport and the South Island. We learnt that they grow sugar there and other crops. I didn’t kno that and he didn’t either.
