Northern Exposure
There was an amazing show given by the Aurora borealis in the early hours of Friday, despite the full moon threatening to wash it out.
There is quite a strong community of photographers in our little town of Dunbar, on the east coast of Scotland. Many of them were out tonight snapping away at the lights show, and somehow a lot of them ended up in the same place, at Belhaven Bay. It is to the west of the town with an open view across the Firth of Forth to Fife and a local beauty spot.
The full moon enabled me to get some detail in the foreground, which, I think, gives the photo a bit of extra interest.
