Six years of joy

...which explains yesterday's excitement!

Six years ago Mrs H was having a very bad time, as Jnr Jnr was trouble before she even emerged. Dehydration, sickness and a resulting delayed birth made her pretty bad and the build-up to the final stages took ages. However, when it did come it came quick! I was watching Total Recall on the hospital telly, and just as Douglas Quaid landed on Mars the screams started, and not because of the dire acting. No time to fill the birthing pool, no time to really sit down actually - as the doctor announced to me that it was his first delivery, things were happening before I had time to raise my eyebrows.

I did my bit. I nearly had to catch her on the way out!

I have never heard screams before or since like it. I swear the women who were just arriving in the early stages of labour turned round and went home as soon as they heard the noise.

The six years has raced by. We were looking at some early photos this evening and she's changed so much. She's the funniest human I know and I am proud to be her Dad.
