Unexpected

I think we're just spoiled with Scotland's coast, but Cornwall isn't necessarily blowing us away on the landscape side of things. Though maybe that's to do with the walks, much like the roads, often being fringed by high hedges. So it was today, with the weather playing ball for a longer walk along the South-West Coastal Path, which runs virtually outside the the front door. We were heading to the Hidden Hut, near Portscathro, for al fresco dining.

Not that hidden, given the large car park just up the hill, but a cracking turning point, after the 5 and a half miles in. An 11 mile total, with around half of that having the coast completely and utterly obscured from view. There were a couple of nice Kestrels about, and some motorcycle filming on Carne Beach, and a WWII decoy site; but really we could have been anywhere.

Maybe we're better off on the north/west coast, like that from yesterday....

Time is running on, with lots still to do, and the weather turning for the worse tomorrow (we got rained on today in the end, but not too badly). But for now, after drinks and food in the local pub, we can just relax for the evening.
