we met stuart from the shetland times today who was nice. it was good to chat to him about the art scene in shetland - he's a feature writer but also the cartoonist for the paper.

then we went to the textile museum which was lovely - really impressive knitting and lace work.

we drive down to st. ninian's beach on the south of the mainland which was stunning - that coastline is so rugged and jaggy. down to jarlshof viking settlement then back up to
scalloway for tea. beefy bought a lovely icelandic jumper - knitted by the waitresses mum!

then back to the pod where we got eaten alive by midges after leaving the skylight open...
