Red Moon Rising

Knew it was a full moon tonight, so went up to the castle to watch it rise. It was so red, couldn't decide whether to blip a close-up of it, or one like this with Mourão, lit up, in the foreground...

Chose this one because of the large house in the front right, and the stories I read yesterday in the library about the family who built it, the Rosados. They started out as ordinary farmers, but built up quite a fortune. The detail I loved was that they made sure no-one in Mourão ever went hungry - and they did it secretly, stealing out in the dark to leave food or clothing on doorsteps. Eventually they had to move away, which is when they donated this house to be the town's Home for the elderly.

Wonder if we'll end up in there?
