Nearly New Baby Sale... Is This Legal?

Linking on from last evenings blip, if I bought 6 nearly new babies on Saturday I could have a proper "Racing Baby Race" on a course measure by Brian.

Three questions :--
1. Are these sales legal?
2. Do families where the kids have left for Uni go to these sales to prevent empty nesting?
3. Should I go to Lancaster on Saturday to find out?
