Warehouse Girls

I spent the morning sorting out school uniforms. It was everywhere!! In their wardrobes, in bags in the spare room, in a basket in the utility room. There was loads of Miss E's of uniform from before she moved schools, stuff they've grown out of, stuff they've yet to grow into! Tights, socks, shoes, bags, coats. It was like a clothes mountain!!
I gathered it all together and dumped it on the dining room table. An hour later the stuff that fits was on hangers in their wardrobes, shoes were in the shoe cupboard, there was a huge bag for the second hand dumping room at Miss L's school, a bag of stuff to sell to the second-hand shop at Miss E's school (they give you half the value they sell it for!), a bag for the clothes bin at the tip, and a teeny pile of stuff Miss L still has to grow into.
A good morning's work!!
At about 4pm we headed over to Ikea to pick up a few more shelves for the living room alcove (or the library/reading nook/snug as I shall have to pretentiously start calling it!!) Hanging ones this time for the left hand wall over the radiator.
The Little Misses were very excited about going into the creche again - and I was looking to an hour drinking tea and reading my book in the cafe - but it was booked up annoyingly so they had to come round the shop with me. They had fun sitting on all the chairs, measuring everything in site with their Ikea tape measure, rolling about on all the rugs, swivelling at speed on all the swivel chairs, and opening every drawer and cupboard within a fifty mile radius!! They loved it!!
They had meatballs in the cafe while I watched them and drank tea. Then it was to the shelf department to agonise over whether to get white shelves  with wood brackets, white with white brackets, wood with white, wood with wood, wood with stainless steel........
Having agonised for ages, called Mr K, emailed pictures, made Miss E hold various brackets up to various shelves and agonised a bit more I went for oak with white brackets.
I've kept the receipt!!
We also went to Sports Direct and bought shin pads, mouth guards and skins for under their PE kits when it gets cold.
Look at me thinking about going back to school more than two hours before they go back to school!!
