Iona Abbey Cloisters

I am trying to catch up with my back blips from my trip to Iona in July.

These cloisters are beautiful. They are regularly full of the chatter of nesting birds, excited day trippers and residents scurrying between the various activities on offer.
But, there are moments of echoing quiet, when the timeless nature of the Abbey sandstone and near constant wind combine in a beauty and music of their own.
