Smoke

This was our view today, one of thousands of similar views in Oregon. I won't complain about the smoke here, because it is so much worse in other places. We have been stunned and saddened at the fire in the Columbia Gorge. It's one of our favorite places on earth, a place so unique in its beauty, and the real tragedy is that it was started by teenagers throwing fireworks. Nature has a way of replenishing natural areas like this, but the truth is, we won't see it in our lifetime. Prayers for those who have evacuated their homes, and for the firefighters risking their lives to protect them. Prayers for all of us affected by the climate today.
