Woodmill

This is an old water mill which separates the tidal estuary and fresh waters of the river Itchen in Southampton. I've tried to find the age but have been unsuccessful - late 18th century is my guess. It is an outdoor centre where children and others are taught canoeing. I learnt to canoe there many, many years ago. Unfortunately it has a busy road going right past it and it's appearance has also been spoiled by traffic signs, crash barriers, window grilles etc.
