Moving ....
Terrible morning - busy and too much to do in one day. At least no calls until the afternoon.
I had a call with the team after 3pm which was dragging on forever and I think I was not very nice in the end, telling Jack that I have no time anymore as it is already after 5 pm and I have stuff to do before I can finish and start packing for tomorrow. I had already spent 3 hours in preparing stuff for today, which was not my task, but no one seemed able to do it. So spending another 2 hours today in going through it in snail pace was not really what I could stand.
When I was finally out of the call there was someone on the street pressing the horn of what sounded like a truck forever and again and again.
I was about to explode! No way I could concentrate with this noise in my ears.
I put my shoes and jacket on, grabbed keys and phone, and would have grabbed a baseball bat too, if there had been one, and went out, fuming and ready to kill!
On the street the noise had stopped. I walked towards the direction of the noise and maybe 50m further, there was a quite upset older couple and son in front of an old range rover, trying to get the going-wild alarm under control.
Well, needless to say I did not kill them, I was not even nasty to them. They had already tried everything and were about to disconnect the battery.
Funnily the noise beside the car was not as loud as how it was carried to my window in the third floor! They apologised big time and I actually thanked them to make me leave my desk and get some fresh air. I omitted that I went actually out to kill!
I had a walk down to Queen Margaret Drive, got a blip, and walked back home. In the meantime the car was quiet and I had wound down too.
Back home more work - missed a few calls from Jack.
Will have to finish soon and start packing for tomorrow. Cannot wait to be at the airport and fly off to Berlin :)
The Blip shows that more changes are coming. Hair Police are moving. Although I stopped going there, Omar - the owner, is a real character. Typical gay hair dresser - very eccentric. He is originally from Beirut.
That is quite a few shops going through the change - let's see what comes next.
