Palacio Marivent

......well thats what todays blip should have been!! We took the bus for 30 minute ride to this summer palace and gardens. We wanted a local trip out and decided to give this a go.
Needless to say, when we got off the bus, walked down the hill, yep, youve guessed it, gates closed, notice up saying closed between 15 July and 15 September :-/ so that was that!

So, here you have the Civil Guarda building that was beside the bus stop where we got off instead...... mich prettier than your average Police Station :-)

We decided to explore the local area......we spent time sat by the beach in a lovely little beach cafe.....a walk along the little streets, found another little bay, then a nice little harbour, we walked a little further.....and so it went on for two or three hours, just enjoying ourselves and before we realised it, we were almost back at the T junction which lead up to Illetas where we are staying.

Before we walked up the hill, we decided to stop once more for refreshments and a light lunch, spent a lovely hour or so there too :-)

Tonight we are having dinner at the hotels restaurant down by the beach.......how lucky are we :-)))
