Spitfire TR9

We heard that there would be a Spitfire doing "joyrides" out of Cumbernauld Airport and so we nipped over just after lunch today. We were just in perfect time to see a "Volunteer" one out, clamber in, get briefed and helmeted and then take off. The above it the aircraft opposite the cafe window on the point of lifting off. What an absolutely glorious sight and sound!
Also parked up on the apron were a couple of P51 Mustang fighters which were also available for rides. If only the bank balance was (a whole lot) healthier!
