Preparing to launch

Next week sees the launch of the new Scotish Rural University College, a merger of the Scottish Agricultural College and the three rural colleges in Scotland - Elmwood, Barony and Oatridge. It will be a unique institution , bringing together FE and HE as well as a variety of other short and vocational courses plus a well established rural consultancy service.

Richard Lochhead and I took part in a photocall at 8.30 this morning to kick the process off, along with Jamie Lindsay, the Chair of the new board and three students - one from SAC, one from Barony and one from Elmwood. The Oatridge student couldn't make it.
