Autumn Approaches

Hard to believe that three days ago I was swimming in the sea (with my daughter) under a warm sun. Today, though not cold, it's been damp and grey. Picked 12 ozs (340g) of blackberries from the hedgerows - another sign of autumn - while starlings were gathering on telephone wires, chirping merrily and preening their feathers (see Extra, too).
