His singing gave him away!

Some supermarket shopping this morning .... why is it that I always forget the one item that I really need? Today it was the milk but I did remember as I was stowing my bags in the boot.  A stop for petrol then a quick trip to the loch for a walk before the promised rain arrived.

It was very dull and there wasn't any interesting bird activity until I reached the trees at the private nature reserve area and I heard the robin singing his heart out. It took me a moment or two to spot him among the leaves far above me ... but I did find him and he was in no hurry to fly away. Sadly, I had to move off leaving Mr Robin sitting on his branch.

Choir starts tonight .... a sure sign that it's autumn!
