I am staying in the Red Cliffs Lodge tonight and tomorrow night.  When I got here late this afternoon, I sat on my walled patio thirty yards from the Colorado River, separated from it only by a patch of grass, a log fence and some wetlands.  

I listened to the silence, broken only by the sweet songs of the birds, and watched the sun set and the moon rise over the steep red cliffs that the river carved out millions of years ago.

Please don't let it end.  I am in heaven.
