~Incredible Sunset~

The last photograph of the day hit the mark again. When I saw this cloud formation start to develop I drove like a man possessed. My destination was Sunset Ridge, the overlook for many of my sunset images. Five miles away was my goal and I made it in record time with no cops to kill my determined ambition. The dust flew as I slid my truck into the turnoff on the ridge. I jumped out and did ten clicks on the good old G12 in full optical telephoto mode. The sun that set many minutes ago, maybe 15 or so, was far off to the right of this image. Needless to say the lighting was just incredible and the clouds, marbled and twisted, left me slack-jawed. Not sure I could capture this wonderful display as those mountains are a good 40 or 50 miles away. But the photographers muse had my back on this one!
