Book cover
What a difference a day makes - yesterday was summer, warm and sunny, and today is just blah with a little rain. Gavin and I went to look at cars this morning - my much loved car is 7 years old, but it has a diesel engine - which is not a good thing to have these days due to air pollution problems in the UK. Of course the car salesman says that does not apply to their diesel vehicles as they comply with all the green requirements, so we still cannot decide whether to get diesel or petrol but I think we will choose the latter.
Other than that our focus has been on Gavin's mother who moved to a new retirement home last week and within days of moving she was taken to hospital with breathing problems. She is now in the frail care unit at her retirement home and is very weak - she has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure. Then this afternoon we got the dreaded phone call from Gavin's uncle in South Africa to say her prognosis is very bad and he must come as soon as possible to see her. Not so easy when we live so far away and at the moment he is struggling to get a flight at such short notice.
Oh and the photo - I suddenly remembered my holiday 'homework' for our camera group at school, whereby we had to design/make a book cover. I am very short of ideas and cannot really think about it right now so this is as good as it gets.
