Galling

Leaves - make the most of them now, because they won't be here much longer. Leaves are great, aren't they? But even better than leaves (to an entomologist) are leaf galls! Here's a twofer - Spangle Galls (the big ones) caused by the wasp Neuroterus quercusbaccarum, and Silk Button Galls (the little ones) caused by Neuroterus numismalis.
