Anna Sings the Blues...
Open mic at the Music Box, Salisbury is a rather classy affair; here the beautiful Anna Jones performs.
It's now held here after the pub it had been a feature of for years, The Old Ale House closed down and for us photographers it's better as it is permanently equipped with 'proper' lighting - so no more dark, dingy black corners, only lit by the odd 60w Osram.
It's every Wednesday and we had visitors from Holland (I think that they chanced it as visitors and didn't come specially!) and performers from well outside the local area, mixing superbly with the more regular ones.
It all ends up with a jam session, which is great and I did some nifty intense and frenzied pics, but as ever, choosing one is always difficult.
I tried a black & white but it looked a bit rubbish, the sumptuous deep colours here really sing out themselves. My new, small and neat Nikkor G 85mm f1.8 perfect and the wide max aperture allowed for lower ISO, to reduce 'noise'.
