Glasgow boy....

We spent the day in Kirkcudbright and visited EA Hornel's Broughton House on the High Street.   A surprisingly extensive building, with many of his paintings on display.  The gallery (pictured), studio and gardens were beautiful. I particularly liked how holly leaves were places on all the seats in the house, to deter folk sitting on them!
