Sarge

It was another hour and a half drive to Alicante airport again, this time to pick up the middle son and his pregnant girlfriend: She'd only just got the all-clear to fly a couple of days ago and they booked the flights yesterday!

The afternoon was spent around the pool and in the evening we had a table booked for five in a Spanish Restaurant (Awraba) in Orba's main street. An amazing three course meal for us all with bottles of wine was less than £70.

Just before we went out we said goodbye to the reason we are over here looking after the villa, the owners pet, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier called 'Sarge' - as in Staff Sarge! He really is the most adorable dog, so friendly and well behaved - a delight to look after. He's about 7 years old and a bit overweight but we are taking him for walks in the cool periods.
