The Spurr family

Today the Spurr family were our guest speakers at our monthly Friends of Belair Park meeting. These siblings grew up as children living in the park for many years. Their father Bob was a park ranger, and they are shown holding a presentation plaque given to their father when he retired.

The main speaker was Bill in the centre, assisted by his brother Gerald and sister Helen Petersen. 

The building where they lived and their mother ran the kiosk is now our Volunteers Centre where this meeting was held.
