Bowfiddling at Cullen
Today was mucho scorchio. Sam had a geography field trip to Cullen this week and talked of great ice cream, caves, sea stacks, dolphins and sea pottery so we headed off in the late afternoon to see if it was all that. So it turns out it pretty much is all that and a lot more besides. We lost a good couple of hours walking the beach, the cliffs and round to bow fiddle rock. And at the end, the dolphins even put on a jumping display for us.
Decades ago, in secondary school one of my gifted pals went to Cullen for a few days with her Art class and painted a beautiful scene of the village on a blank postcard and sent it to me. I've still got it somewhere.
