Well at least someone is having fun!

I did a detour (only a very small one) on the way back home today and stumbled upon an amazing sight.. Where once there was a quiet and unassuming little flow of water grandly called the River Tern there was now a flood plain that looked like Africa in the rainy season
- and skimming across it were hundreds of swallows and house martins! Joyous!!
Shropshire is flooded but at least the swallows and house martins are having fun before they depart for Africa (surely they must be leaving soon?).
Happy hump day (I've been wanting to say that ever since Debbi introduced me to the expression!).
