Waiting...

I took this while waiting for my hip operation. There was plenty of time - I was last on the list.

It's part of a work called "Milestones: paths crossing at Little France" by Glasgow-born artist Samantha Clark. She asked staff and visitors to the hospital to describe "Milestones" on their journey. Stones were handed in or were collected by the artist in various locations throughout Scotland. Clark wanted to identify something which would mark the new Royal Infirmary as "a central point in a living web of tracked movements".
