Dragonflight

Dragonflight (with apologies to Anne McCaffrey). ;-)

We visited Barrington Court in Somerset today and had a smashing day which ended with a visit to a friend living near by. But while I could show you pictures of the fine Tudor mansion and the grounds and even some Friday flowers... Well, I got my dragon in flight!

Never the easiest to photograph, at least for me. This is full frame with no crop. I can now stop chasing dragonflies... ah, but will I?

Barrington Court was well worth a visit  - despite the dreadful parking arrangements. Renovated by one of the Lyles of sugar fame, it's bereft of the normal National Trust buy in bulk furniture which allows the fantastic wood panelling, that he scavenged from all over, to be shown to its best advantage.
