To RANT or not to RANT - that is the question?

Not to RANT...................... today's Blip would be.......................... 'I've been Blipped here before but we liked the colour of the sea and sky so I'm being Blipped here again.'

To RANT – please switch to someone else's Blip now if you only want to know what a gorgeous little collie has been up to. SHOW SOME RESPECT??!!!

On a Friday, Ann cleans her neighbours holiday let home. Today she had the dirtiest/most awful clean that she has ever had in her whole entire life. Now whilst everyone in the holiday trade knows................ August holiday makers are the worst in the world for leaving holiday let properties in the most dreadful state ever......................... (We totally understand that prices for holiday lets are high in August so holiday makers feel they can leave the property absolutely filthy.) BUT..................... there's a difference between leaving a property dirty and totally disrespecting someone's home.

When is it EVER OK to do the following and not inform the letting agents that this has happened? :

Let your child wet the bed?

Break a double bed support?

Break a pull cord on a blind?

Peel half a plastic privacy cover on a bathroom window off?

Pull curtains in two bedrooms off their curtain hooks?

Break/lose/take home by mistake/steal an ornament?

Lose/steal/throw away all the pieces of a jigsaw and shove an empty box back in a cupboard?

And that's to say nothing about.................. the actual cleaning........................ Everyone in the holiday let industry knows that you've 'got to take the rough with the smooth'. Doesn't seem to have been much smooth around this August??

Every single bin in the property was full to overflowing and the rest of the rubbish in the property filled two more bin bags. Oh and that's to say nothing about the two broken body boards that were just left in the middle of the kitchen.

A towel, laundry basket and all the clothes pegs just lying on the balcony floor. Obviously all the clothes pegs had to be washed because they'd been lying on the floor and had been covered with moss that falls off the roof.

The whole kitchen was full of dirty crockery. Whatever happened to the 'leave it as you found it rule?'

And even the stuff that wasn't left out, when the cupboards were checked.................. every single mug and glass and pan needed re-washing.

Oh and the other thing................. why do holiday makers feel the need to 're-arrange' the cupboards and put stuff in cupboards where it doesn't belong?

And why do they feel the need to move pillows from the bedroom to the living room when the sofas in the living room have loads of cushions?

The whole place was absolutely disgusting. And I'm getting fed up of RANTING now.

Can't believe that people who come on holiday have so little respect for someone's home??? Do they live like this at home????

OK, RANT OVER!!!
