Tess and Leon's ducklings
On our way home we stopped off to visit Tess and Leon, who now live in the north of Dorset near to Sherborne, having moved from Bridport. They have a wonderful small holding and U was really impressed with the amount of work they have done in the three years since their move.
I loved seeing their pigs which we watched being fed some leftover vegetables scraps as well as some rather yummy looking apples. But I can't resist blipping the ducklings which are now a week old. Leon had to help them escape from their eggshells when they were hatching and they have needed to be reared under lights in the barn. But within a couple of more days they will join their parents out in the field. I fear the geese will have to be kept well away and protection from foxes is vital. I wish them well.
